Like I mentioned earlier, we went to the Lane Farms pumpking patch!
Some great pictures have happened lately. Here's her just chilling in the bassinet where she sleeps!
This weekend was tough but we got to be with a lot of family and that was wonderful. I won't go into the details here since it's pretty private but suffice it to say that Grammy's Graveside Service was beautiful.
Last night, I realized that God sent me Kelly because we were to lose Grandma Dorothy and Grammy. Kelly was special to me but now she's even more special. John and I thank God we have her more than ever.
John and I went to Goleta pier today after having breakfast at the Beachside restaurant with my mom and our cousin Anne. We spent some time outside with our little doll and walked the entire length of the pier. It was great to get outside. We both agreed we want to eat better and exercise more. Our time together was really nice.
We finally got Kellykins in the bath without her hating it. This was on October 10, the day Grammy passed away. We put the little baby tub in the kitchen sink and filled it up with warm water. We also put the teddy bear sponge in there so her seat would be really cusioned. You can tell she liked it. I'll add the youtube video soon. Look at that smile!
We broke out the baby bjorn and guess what, it works. Both John and I tried it and it's pretty good.
I said to John, "How do you like being pregnant?" :)
To me, wearing it is how I felt preggers, you have this big weight on your front, pulling on your back. Perfect. But actually it's not bad b/c you have your hands free. We'll see if we use it. This was a great find at a garage sale. I think I paid $1 and they cost like $60 retail. Whatever. I washed it and it's like new. :)
So much is going on. Every day goes by fast. Kelly turned 5 weeks on Saturday. She is really becoming more and more alert. Last night she was smiling at me after I fed her. That was kind magical for me. Kind of like, wow, she seems to know who I am.
John says she can tell my voice and footsteps. :)
This is one of my favorite pictures of late. Kelly is just looking so cute. Her eyes are so wide open. Tons have been added to my flickr site. So check them out http://flickr.com/uidiziner
Tomorrow we are going to see my other grandma in Yorba Linda who is not doing too well. We want her to get to see Kelly. IT will be a long drive there and back. Hopefully it will go well. I'm a little nervous about it. Kelly "usually" falls asleep in the car but lately she has been screaming in the back of the car. I hate that b/c there is nothing I can do when I'm driving. I plan to feed and change her and the right times so that she doesn't get cranky back there.
I got all new tires for my car tonight and had the car seat checked. I'm feeling super conscience of having this precious life to take care. Yeah, so I went for the best tires I could get. What the heck!
